As micro pistols go, there’s absolutely nothing really to complain about with the Springfield Armory Hellcat 9mm’s trigger. This little baby is so capable and versatile, that it is not a tiny version of the gun I’d rather have…. It has a flat trigger profile, and according to many, it is considered better than a Glock trigger (though this is obviously open to interpretation). Holding 11+1 rounds in its micro-compact magazine, it’s no mystery that the Springfield Armory Hellcat, reviewed by Dan here, has its sights set squarely on the famously standard-setting 10+1-round SIG Sauer P365 (reviewed by John Boch here and followed up by me here). This manufacturer also produces the renowned HS2000 and XDM series of semi-automatic pistols for Springfield Armory. To help you do this, here is a video on field stripping and cleaning the Sig p365. However, with the same price point as an American made gun that is just a bit nicer, it suffers a bit on the value grade. And, you also benefit from a high extended beavertail, which works very well at preventing slide bite for shooters with bigger hands.
