Proaspat instalat:
- Mandriva 2007.1 PWP
- KDE 3.5.6
- Kopete 0.12.4
- Compiz activat pentru 3D Desktop
Problema:
- Din cand in cand, dar nu tot timpul, la pornirea Kopete apare un mesaj care ma anunta ca moare daemonul care se ocupa cu tema decoratiunii ferestrelor.
- Ferestrele raman fara decoratiune (chenar, bara de titlu etc.)
- Schimbarea diferitelor teme nu reabiliteaza situatia
- Dupa un log-off si repornire X lucrurile revin la normal ... numai sa nu opresc/pornesc kopete prea des ca la un moment dat se intampla din nou problema
Nelamurire:
- Pana acum mi s-a intamplat doar cand dadeam drumul la Kopete ... dar e posibil ca problema sa fie in alta parte
Completare:
- Daca-mi mai apare fereastra cu "Crash Handler" din KDE voi posta eroarea.
Are cineva vreo idee unde sa caut solutia?
Aceasi problema. Insa aleator, nu neaparat la Kopete.
Solutia mea de compromis, ca sa nu tot repornesc X:
Din System->Configuration->Other pornesc Beryl Manager. Apoi in Beryl Manager (smaraldul rosu de langa ceas), la Select Window Decorator selectez KDE Window Decorator, si barele reapar, evident cu tema de KDE nu cu cea a lui Beryl. Mie imi pasa prea putin de tema aia, important mi se pare sa mearga bine, nu neaparat sa arate bestial.
La inceput a fost . . . kernelul!

cred ca problema e legata de Beryl. nu prea se impaca pornirea simultana KDE si Beryl. Incearca pornirea manuala (pornind Beryl Manager) si verifica setarile din xconf conform tutorialelor.

Temele diin Beryl sunt mai misto decat cele KDE.

Eu folosesc 2007.1 fara nici un fel de 3d (ma oboseste) si nu am nici o problema cu kopete sau cu alt program...
La mine totusi este Compiz .... oare se trage din KDE problema?

Se pare ca nu numai eu am probleme, pe bugzilla.mandriva.com exista deja rapoarte pentru situati asamanatoare, chiar daca nu la fel. Cu siguranta ceva a fost omis la lansarea distributiei.
La mine restaurarea decoratiunii se poate face fara probleme cu comanda:
kde-window-decorator --replace &
... comanda, la care am facut un shortcut pe desktop. Deci daca se intampla din nou cu un dubluklick revin lucrurile na normal ... for a while ...
