Dedoimedo a scris o mica recenzie despre ROSA Marathon 2012.
Din pacate povestea n-a avut un sfarsit prea vesel - nu i-a mers wireless-ul si s-a suparat. :-)
Ar fi trebuit sa incerce versiunea Extended, totusi ...

Da, e complicat
Partea proastă e că are dreptate. Nu merge wireless-ul nici cu networkmanager (nu merge nici pppoe de fapt, trebuie să-i dai CLI cu pppoe-setup, etc), nici cu wicd (applet sau wicd-curses), nici cu drakconnect. Daemonul wicd e pornit automat la boot.
ifconfig wlan0 up => device not found
drakconnect => unable to find network interface for selected device (using iwlagn driver)

Am impresia ca depinde de hw ... ptr ca ala o testat free ,adica un fel de purist OSS deci atunci sufera ghghghghghgh

Nu era instalat default
Nu era instalat default iwlwifi! Am instalat iwlwifi și merge cu networkmanager. Și-am pus un kernel mai nou (3.2.18-nrj-netbook-1rosa.lts)...

Da' cine? N-ar fi trebuit instalat implicit iwlwifi? Driverele astea (iwl3945 de exemplu) nu-s incluse in kernel de la versiunea 2.6.24 incoace?

PS: normal ca acum merge, doar nu era sa stau cu sarma-n laptop, trebuia sa rezolv cumva... :D

ma daca era facuta nunmai ptr rusii era demult inauntru in iso toate fw... dar mai ales americani (nici astia din EU nu glumesc...) is curviti rau cu licentele astea ... deci e corect asa....
