Odata cu aparitia noului sistem de fisiere ext4 ce se doreste a fi succesorul lui ext3, au fost efectuate cateva teste comparative alaturi si de reiser4.
Concluzia: Noul sitem de fisiere este clar un pas inainte

Testul e cam simplut, si mai e o problema legata de faptul ca nu prea face sync(), si ii ies performante mai mari decat ar putea HDD-ul!
Dar globally speaking, ext4 pare a fi un progres neasteptat.
