Geforce4 MX 440 pe Mandriva 2007

Dupa vreo cateva incercari, si reinstalari de drivere, imi da cateva erori:

Dupa ce am instalat (#urpmi kernel-source)

Am trecut la instalarea driverului
#sh NVIDIA-xxxxxxxx.run

Si da eroarea:

You appear to be using a modular Xorg release, but nvidia-installer was unable to
determine the correct X library instalation path with the "pkg-config" utility.

Mai spunea si ceva de kernel, dar nu mai stiu exact acum.
Apoi la sfarsit.
Dupa ce a zis ca il instaleaza sau gasit ceva in /usr/lib/xorg/modules
If X fails to find the NVIDIA X driver module, please correct any "pkg-config" problems warned about earlier andreinstall the driver.

Chestia e ca dupa ce l-am instalat am dat restart sa sistem si duap ce se incarca apare logo-ul de la nvidia apoi se incarca spleash screen-ul de la KDE se incarca desktop-ul, si atat ca nu mai merge nimic dupa aceeia.

Banuiesc ca geseala este la kernel source !
Uite ce am facut > am bagat la kernel source asta
#urpmi kernel-source-2.6.17.6mdv

in loc de asta "#urpmi kernel-source-2.6.17.5mdv"

Ok, l-am dezinstalat. O luam de la capat acum.

Am ales optiunea nr 1 pe care ai indicat-o si tot nu merge! Aceleasi erori !

Eu ma gandesc sa incerc si cu varianta de la nr 10 !

/later EDIT am incercat si cu varianta 10, tot nu am reusit sa instalez. :( Cred ca o las pe mai tarziu sau deloc :( !
