Aparent totul pare ok, dar dacă incerc sa rulez ceva 3D primesc mesaj de genul:
*** ppracer error: Couldn't initialize video: Couldn't find matching GLX visual
Se poate remedia chestia asta?

Cei care folosesc PLF au posibilitatea sa-si instaleze urmatoarele pachete:
nvidia-xorg-8174-0.1.20060plf
dkms-nvidia-8174-0.1.20060plf
libnvidia-opengl1-8174-0.1.20060plf
la mine merg perfect, cel putin Quake asa zice.
Sa nu-mi spui ca ti-ai instalat driverele de pe PLF ! You're getting old dude ! :-D

pai am dat un urpmi --auto-select si m-am pomenit ca mi le instaleaza, din cauza ca le aveam deja pe cele din powerpack care s-au invechit intre timp.
Am rezolvat problema. Era de la Tuxracer ... Dupa ce am sters directorul jocului din /home/user s-a rezolvat problema :-)
Are vreun rost sa instalez de la PLF si nvidia-devel-8174-xxx.rpm?

habar nu am, dar daca ai instalat deja din surse nu iti mai bate capul si cu rpm-uri sa nu apara complicatii intutile.
Am instalat rpm-urile de la PLF. Este mai util (sau recomandat) sa instalez driverul din surse?

in cazul meu nu a fost nici o diferenta, sunt doar doua metode diferite de a avea driverul in sistem.
