Noua generatie de kernel 2.6.35.x ( adoptata si de cooker , chair daca inca nu au ajuns la 4)

Developerul Gnome Dave Neary a compilat un tabel pentru a arata de unde vin majoritatea contributiilor la proiect.
Nesurprinzator, cele mai multe contributii (code commits) vin din partea programatorilor independenti, neafiliati niciunei companii.

Csabi mi-a semnalat aparitia [unui articol ce contine o declaratie de presa](http://www.tuxradar.com/content/mandriva-alive) din partea Mandriva SA in care se specifica pe langa altele ca:
"At the heart of this strategy, Mandriva Linux will be distributed exclusively by a sales and integrated IT network"
Dupa cum suna se pare ca Mandriva Linux nu se va mai distribui gratuit (Free si One) ci numai in variante comerciale.

### Astazi am aflat de "Markdown" si cum BBCode nu mergea pe site am facut cateva configurari noi. Iata noutatile:
* Live Preview - in josul paginii vedei un preview in timp real despre cum va arata topicul/storyul/commentul vostru ... just scroll down ;)
* Buedit activat - un set de icoane pentru formatare text. Selectati doar ce doriti sa formatati si apasati icoana dorita (atentie la "code" si "block code" - primul pentru cod inclus pe o linie, aka inline, al doilea pentru mai multe linii de cod)
* Evident puteti scrie si cod Markdown direct, pentru sintaxe aruncati un ochi aici: http://daringfireball.net/projects/markdown/syntax
* La input format este implicit selectat Markdown HTML, care de fapt este FullHTML + Markdown
PS: Cei nostalgici cu BBCode, pot folosi Input Format: Filtered HTML, dar atentie *butoanele de formatare vor baga* `in continuare` **cod Markdown**, deci rezultatul nu va fi formatat cum va asteptati. Va trebui sa folositi cod BB scris direct.
PPS: Screenshoturi nu va dau, dati click pe "Add new comment" si se vede imediat ce am povestit mai sus.

Pentru cei melancolici am descoprit ca pe mediile mandriva turcia , baietii turci ( si packagerii lor sunt orientati pe x86_64)
au reusit sa importeze Amarok1.4 pe 2010.1 exact ca si pe 2009.1 in /opt/kde3/

a iesit nvidia 265-35 definitv release , si anssi Hanulla ( unul ditre cei putini buni) l-a impachetat imediat si push-at in cooker .....
acuma vine partea faina , pregatiti-va ...vine madame Anne Nicolas si zice ca nu se accepta push-ul si sa-l refaca numai ptr mdv anterioare ,
adica 2010.0 si 2009.1, deci pentru prima oara in istoria mdv vom avea un driver vechi pe cooker si mai noi pe relasurile
precedente ....

Nu am auzit pana acum de Pascal Terjan; el este unul din angajatii Mandriva si contributor la multe proiecte open source (Alexandria, Apache, daCode, GNOME, hotbabe, Mandriva, PLF, Ruby-GNOME2, Ruby/LDetect, Templeet, Youri...), insa am aflat via tuxmachines.org ca el va pleca curand de la Mandriva luand drumul Londrei pentru a lucra la Google.
Bravo lui si ii doresc mult succes. Bonne chance, Pascal!
