Salut
Am un dell 1501 amd turion, mandriva 2010.1, la wireless in Centrul de control zice ca am placa de retea bcm4401 (lan) si bcm4311 (wlan), dar cu toate acestea nu pot accesa reteaua wireless.
Ce mai trebuie sa fac?
Am incercat sa dau si Fn+F2 cum faceam in windows dar nu vad nimic schimbat, habar nu am daca functioneaza combinatia de taste linux (contrastul Fn+sageti functioneaza).
Am citit un tutoriaprin forum cu bcm43xx, am incercat sa pun fisierul sys sau inf si-mi zice ca deja exista instalat.
Am pus sursele lui N3o am facut update... nimic schimba la wireless.
pe alt forum am gasit pasii urmatori (testat cu R151517 asta gasesc pe site la dell)
1. download the wireless card driver from dell.
2. Using a windows box extract the R140747.EXE file
3. Pack it up and move to your laptop.
4. Unpack onto Laptop.
5. download and install NdisWrapper http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/
6. Follow the INSTALL file in NdisWrapper.
ndiswrapper -i
the should be replaced with the path to
the inf file example /tmp/R140747/DRIVER/bcmwl5.inf
ndiswrapper -l
7. modprobe ndiswrapper
8. ifconfig wlan0 netmask 255.255.255.0 up
9. route add default gw

cred ca ai ghinion cica compatibilitate partiala numai cu ndiswpp vezi mai multe pe linkul de mai sus.
